Community Involvement

We believe that who we are is just as important as what we do. While we are committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients, we are equally committed to making a positive impact beyond our work. Giving back to our community has always been part of our culture, and we are proud to support initiatives, charities, and organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Restoring Kindness Canada

In 2020, Kevin and Paula Casey launched Restoring Kindness Canada with a simple goal: to inspire people to put kindness into action through meaningful, everyday acts that make a difference in their communities.

Mission: To encourage individuals and companies to intentionally live and operate with a larger purpose: to love your neighbour as yourself by doing random acts of kindness while expecting nothing in return.

Each May, our team proudly participates in May Kindness Month by taking on the 30/30 Challenge. While the challenge encourages 30 acts of kindness in 30 days, our team consistently completes 100+ acts of kindness throughout the month, demonstrating our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve.

Christmas in October

Giving back has always been an important part of who we are. Since 2002, we have proudly supported Operation Christmas Child, a program of Samaritan’s Purse that delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world.

In place of corporate gifts, and with the support of our clients, suppliers, family, and friends, we pack 250-400 shoeboxes each year for children who may otherwise receive little or nothing at Christmas.

In 2014, we decided to take our shoebox packing to the next level and host Christmas in October, an annual community event where volunteers come together to pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

To date, we have packed more than 5,000 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, helping share hope and joy with children around the world—one gift at a time.

Wounded Warriors – Park of Reflection

Since 2014, we have proudly supported the Wounded Warriors Park of Reflection in Whitby through the Town of Whitby’s Adopt-a-Park Program.

Created in partnership with Wounded Warriors Canada, the Park of Reflection is a place where Canadians can pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. It serves as a lasting tribute to those who have served and the impact their service has had on our country.

As part of our commitment to the Adopt-a-Park Program, our team volunteers time throughout the year to help maintain and care for the park, ensuring it remains a welcoming place for reflection, remembrance, and the community.

Feed the Need Durham Food Drive

Each May, our team proudly hosts an annual food drive in support of Feed the Need in Durham, helping provide nutritious food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout Durham Region.

With the generous support of our employees, clients, suppliers, and community, we collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations to help stock local food banks when they are needed most. This annual initiative is another way we put our commitment to serving our community into action and encourage others to make a difference—one donation at a time.

Together, we’re helping ensure our neighbours have access to the food and support they need.

Brooklin Blessing Day

Each year, our team proudly takes part in Brooklin Blessing Day, a community outreach initiative created to spread kindness through simple acts of generosity.

On this day, our whole team goes out to hand out flowers, cookies, refreshments and encouragement to members of our community Brooklin Blessing Day is about making a positive difference through unexpected acts of kindness.

Brooklin Blessing Day reflects our ongoing commitment to giving back and building a stronger, more connected community—one act of kindness at a time.

In addition to these initiatives, we are proud to support a wide range of local charities, non-profit organizations, community events, and fundraising efforts throughout the year. Giving back is an important part of who we are, and we remain committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work through meaningful partnerships and acts of service.
